Is there anyway that a supercharger of any will work on a 97 4.0L? Thanks.

 

If you can find someone with the old bbk insta-charger, that is the only one to my knowledge. They pulled production of the kit, so your only hope is finding a used one

 

If anyone finds one let me know because I want onw for my 94 4.0L

 

well, you could always fab one up yourself...

 

Yea the out of production BBK is the only kit I have seen for the OHV. I have never seen one for sale either, there was never much demand for it.

 

isnt it also really bad to put a supercharger or turbo on a higher milage truck because of the sudden change in force on certain parts?

 

nah, just gotta watch the level of boost on anything with cast pistons in it as if you go up much past 5psi, or get any detonation you run a really good chece at blowing apart your pistons... no matter if you have 30 miles or 300,000 miles on the engine.
