“Impeller” unless you are from New England then it is an “Impella”.

The increased whistle from the wicked wheel is the cool part :)
The other is an ATS Housing. Sucks your 01 doesn't have forged rods.

I really can't wait to pay this thing off. Probably going to keep it and mod the engine for sledpulling and some drag racing.

I really want to get a newer crew cab. That's the only thing i don't like about my truck. Supercab is nice but i have been test driving a bunch of crew cabs lately and love them. Now it's just the choice of the old 7.3 or a 6.uh-oh to use as a tow rig for Old Red.

The whistle will be cool, but I am really just doing to to save my turbo. Next will be a BTS tranny...bye bye 4+k.

Why not a 6.4? With the 6.7 coming out the 6.4 may become a cheap truck to buy

6.0 seems like a good engine if you get rid of the EGR system, I wouldn't mind having one

Why are you doing ATS housing and wicked wheel? I thought the housing does the same thing as the wheel with stopping compressor surge? I looked into it with my friend before for his truck because he wants more power than just chip/intake/exhaust that he has now and we were disappointed neither gave any power increase.

The ATS Intake Housing is just to stop the turbo surge. It will add no power.
The ATS Exhaust Housing will lower my egts 100 - 200 degrees which I really need. No extra power
WW - Just a sound thing
Then I have a lot of other little things I am doing (in sig) that will not add power, but reliability.

Next will be a BTS tranny

In order to get more power your buddy really needs some sticks (injectors) the stock injectors are only good for about 80HP over stock.
If he did the intake and exhaust housing then his stock turbo should keep up with a set of stage 1 sticks.

If he really wants speed/power out of a 7.3 I would first make sure he has forged rods and not the PMRs. PMRs are only good for about 400 HP, so I am at a stopping point unless I do Stage 1 Sticks. So I am just making my truck bullet proof to make a million mile journey
