I'm going to drive it on the beach so it rusts, then paint it green and take pictures flexing.

btw impact is the only way... funny how when i did it years ago everyone said i was nuts now it seems to be the way to do it. I cant take credit however. I just knew a ford tech that did it that way at the dealer.

ive heard techs putting warm tranny fluid down the hole to help get em out haha.

my fiddy had both the spark plug issue and the cam phasors. I was going to fix it, until a friends neighbor bought a 2010 and within the first 5k miles it was already back at ford due to cam phasor issues. Thats when I got back into a ranger lol

I hear tons of them during my travels around the Metro Detroit area. The common fix for it seems to be to let them go.

Or sell the truck.

Put my head unit in it today and bought a new single din to put in the Ranger. I removed the leveling kit the other day and put in some drop shackles earlier tonight. If anyone has an 04-08 f150 you can have the autospring leveling kit for shipping cost. Its a 2.5" kit I believe. It sits level with it, no rake. Also, I was surprised how much better the stereo sounds now. Stock head units put out like 7 watts per channel, compared to ~25 watts with aftermarket. The truck has the audiophile stereo package, but the sub isn't enough. I'm designing my own box for it now.

clean it, darker tint, better stereo, lowering, and putting some kind of tune on it, maybe a tonneau cover. nothing too serious.

Ha ha I just put the same deck in my F150 too. The Audiophile system sounds pretty decent with an aftermarket deck pushing it, I was surprised. The sub is lacking a bit though.

Haha nice! Does your sub make a pop when you turn it on too? Supposedly they all do when you put in an aftermarket head unit. The fix is a 5v voltage regulator for $3 from RadioShack or two resistors wired inline.

Leveling kit removed, drop shackles on. Hopefully the highway mpg should go up some.

Yeah. Down the road a bit I plan on lowering it 3" more front and rear for a total of a 3/5 drop. When I do that I'll take them off. I also want these 22" harley wheels for it too.

Are you going to swap for Harley Davidson heads and tails? I know you were against the headlight mod on the Ranger, I didn't know if you felt differently on the F150

Maybe. I'm not really a fan of that style light on most stuff. I'll have to Photoshop it to see if it works with the color.

Started doing the seats on the truck. This is 10 minutes after the first coat and then another thin coat before it dried. Probably going to do 3-4 coats total. I left the single seat alone to get a better idea of before and after. You can also see the typical Ford leaky third brake light water stains, which I'll be fixing soon as well. Leather CPR is the name of the product and you can buy small containers of it at bed bath and beyond for $15 or gallons on amazon. I squeezed it into my hands and rubbed it in. The colors of the treated area will even out more after it sits overnight.

LeatherCPR is my favorite conditioner so far, it's some awesome stuff. Leather honey is a close second.
