Whats this? A powerstroke?

Nice Zach. I'd go for it. I don't know about the 6.4, but with the 6.0 you change the oil cooler and switch to a silicate free coolant and you're good to go. The coolant is what the powerstroke's bad rep comes from. I'd say it would have been in Ford's best interest in avoiding the motocraft gold coolant and following internationals advice on using ELC and the powerstrokes would have a better rep.
Either way, i'd go ditch the factory oil cooler for peace of mind. Good luck.

Should be interesting and it should make the truck reliable, ive been fighting these stupid oil temps forever and it should give me scalability should i ever need it. I really dont want to spend that much extra on the truck but I really dont have much of a choice. Id loose over half what I am going to spend on trade and that doesnt include all the money I spent to fix it in the past. Its hard to let it go knowing id loose all that. I like it and it is what I have always wanted (minus the issues) id just like to run this thing into the ground and keep going.
Craig at MPD really hooked me up and Ive heard great things about them.

its a typical unhappy customer and others decide to chip in and take his side. I am not doubting that it didnt happen and it should be handled differently but its not my business.
I will be watching them do the work I have done it myself 3 times so i know what is involved and how it should be done. I will correct whatever appears to be incorrect.
Also mine is a 1 day job where that guys instance was some huge project and spent over 6 months there...

After reading into it more it looks like the guy put a single turbo on it. I think MDP told him the twins where in bad shape. He came there drove it, said it had power after the single turbo. Now all of a sudden he gets home and he complains thats its slower. He also complains that there is a exhaust leak. Which after installing my exhaust and a couple warm up and cool down cycles it started leaking too.
The thing that made him really upset was MDP used his turbo on another project. MDP stop replying to the thread so I do not know the story but its possible they rebuilt it.
If the guy is so worried about it why didn't he take it back?
He can supposedly do his own work, so shouldn't he have said something?
I wouldn't worry about it, same thing with the guy who built my quad engines. He was only 16-17 when he started his shop. he is now 23? Builds engines for the top pros now

Zach, I'm glad its at least only a one day deal being done, not a long project. Total relief.
