Headlight and corner light mod

Headlight and corner light mod

I want your guy's opinion's should I do the light mods to my ranger? and just how hard are the corners? i read how to do the headlights and i can handle that.

and for the hell of it, i did the good old jack stand lift to see where it should sit
this is with about 2" in front and 3" on the rear

Get clear corners or '06 corners....and DO THEM!!!!

Here's RangerExtreme's truck....veryvery similar to yours. His are painted with Dark Shadow Gray...

nice i was thinking of going completely gloss black but don't know if thats too dark. i'll look at getting the corner lights.

did you use flat or gloss? or maybe in between with semi-gloss ha ha
oh and do you have any pics of the completely clear lenses blacked out?

I would do it flat black. youre gonna need clear corners to do the corners though as it wont show up through the amber like you have.

I used gloss black, next time i'll use flat black though. I used OEM 06 corners for mine.

k i think i'll try and find some oem corners for 06 if i can't i'll just use the clear ones i found on ebay and flat them out. don't think they will look as good though

Aftermarket clear corners seem to be made of a different plastic and have a reputation for cracking or melting easier than factory parts. The 06+ Ranger factory corners are mostly clear but have the small amber reflector required by the DOT. I gave my headlights and corners the satin black treatment. I would agree that the corners were more difficult than the headlights.

Thats the man that got me to do mine. I thought the corners were really easy, the plastic is more easily messed up though so you have to be careful. I broke a set of eBay clear corners trying to mod them for someone else, I know other members have done the same.
