gen2 rangers suck...no space behind the seats for subs if you have it reclined all the way...

here's my temporary setup

I'm eventually getting a 6.5" sub to put behind the driver's seat (the elemental designs EU-700), but in any case, I think a center console would be sweet to deter theft.

Pioneer 10" slim sub. Shoulda made the box thinner and longer across the front.
And yes, gen 2's suck for subs. Lost a few clicks on the passenger side.

do you have to take out the seats to take out the subs?

that would be great as a theft deterrent

You could probably get them out if the seats were all the way forwards but it would a P.I.T.A.

nah, you can easily pull them out with the seats pushed forward...but you could always superglue the bolts down...then it would be a major PITA

seems some ppl actually use torx bolts, then on top of that they use some type of bonding stuff and seal up the torx area, so its a rounded head....

Here's mine, it's a JL Audio 8 inch W7 in a custom box. The amp is a 250/1, also a JL Audio. Click the picture to go to my CarDomain sound system page, it has a video of the sub playing.
