cheap tint job

Well I bought my truck almost a year ago and the windows are already tinted (Not sure if its factory or aftermarket) and there not dark enough to my liking. Up here in Canada there very strict on tinted driver and passenger windows but any other windows you can pretty much completely black out so I was thinking about doing my solid rear window and X cab windows. Im thinking if I black out my rear and X-cab windows they will make the front windows look darker . My question is .. can I buy the cheap stuff at Wal-Mart and apply it over the tint thats already there to completely black those windows out or do I have to remove the stuff thats there and start over from scratch. I bet it would look pretty sweet with blacked out windows but im not about to rip off the tint thats there now.

You can tint over it, I have done several like this. You don't even really notice it, it sticks the same as long as it's CLEAN. Otherwise, you do it just like you would if it was just glass. The only bubbles you will really see are the ones that are in the first layer, on the second layer usually you don't see any bubbles unless you look at it with the sun glare.

I did it on my last truck......worked fine. I made the mistake of getting the full metalic film stuff, I put one layer of 14% on and decided it wasn't dark enough, so I put a second layer on, and by then it was so reflective........it was aweful. lol

thanks guys .... Im not planning on doing my driver and passenger window because i'll most likely get a ticket for it being too dark but the rest of the windows are legally allowed to be blacked out so im going to do those... I think with all the rest being totally blacked out it will probably make the fronts look alot darker anyways..just trying to stay within the law as I know quite a few people who have been ticketed for illegally dark window tint. FYI in my town the police officer has to be able to see inside the vehicle without pressing his face right against the glass and they enforce this law VERy strictly since a P.O. was shot and killed during a traffic stop because he couldnt see into the car to see a cracked out crack head with a gun.
