RCD Install
Started installing my RCD lift yesterday. I got the majority of stuff disassembled yesterday. First time messing with torsion bars. The first one took me about an hour to get off and then about 5 minutes for the second one. lol
Got the old shocks and swaybar links off. Gotta finish disassembling the brakes tonight. I'm gonna need to get some new rotors and everything, I had the 12" rotors and they were due anyway. That's about as far as I got in 3 hrs. I've been taking a ton of pics so I can remember where stuff goes and what not. I'll post em up when I get back to the house.
Any advice would be appreciated. This is my first time tackling a job this size and I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions. Stay tuned!!
Still stock, t-bars cranked.
Getting the t-bars off.
Brakes. Time for some new ones.
Stock shock.
Sway bar link, gone.
All my goodies just waiting to get on!!
Shackles and AAL. Here's looking at you Shane!
Compression bars and mounts.
Mac daddy knuckles.
Coilover and differential mounts. Gotta weld a gusset on there.
Coilovers and shocks.
Whoa...Drop brackets.
Box-o-crap.
Still got tons to do. I need to get a couple tools to keep this moving, along with brakes, and I'll probably do the ball joints while I got it all apart.

Man its gonna be awsome, I gotta see that thing when your done..Will you be done this weekend?? Maybe we could meet up er something
I wish I could finish it that quick. I'm gonna take it slow so hopefully I won't mess up anything. I'm also still waiting on my leaf springs and I need to order brakes.
I can't drive for a little while, so I'll have to take a rain check. That's kinda why I deciding to do the install myself. I've got PLENTY of time.

the stock 600's will show bad sag by the time you hit 10k...just so you know....600's are like having B torsion bars....
I vote 750lb coils. Only like $150 max for the pair. not $250 each as previously stated in this thread.

your not going to get Fox shocks WITH springs for 250 each. not going to happen unless you get them used
i paid, $450 shipped off ebay for my Fox's, Poly Performance is $230 each plus shipping
750lb Springs were good, they were a little stiff at first but i got em broke in and sagging in 6 months lol, i got them for 160 shipped?

You just need new springs. Mine wore out fast about 5k-8k miles on them. The 800s are rough but have not sagged at all and have loosened up quite a bit since i took the sway bar off. The ride is still rough, but i bought a truck and lifted it, so it was comin'
