Might be getting another fullsize here soon and I love the 04-08 and just wonder how reliable the 3v is with higher miles. I can find them in my price range, but most are around 150k miles.

I imagine with proper care and taking care of the plugs it would be a good motor, but I only have experience with the 2v 5.4.

 

The plugs are over rated. Yea they are a PITA to replace the very first time, but after that first change I have never had an issue with plugs breaking. Another issue some 5.4's develop is the cam phaser rattle quite expensive to have it done at a Ford dealer. When looking for one listen for any abnormal noises starting and while running. Other than that they are pretty solid besides annoying ashtrays lol
