Help with heater control valve hoses routing
Hey guys I would like to know if the hoses coming out from the firewall are properly connected to the heater valve. This is a 1996 Ford Ranger XLT V6 3.0L
Yes, it looks fine
You should reverse the heater hoses at the firewall(or on the bypass) every year or two, this keeps the heater core cleaner, it will reverse flow thru it pushing out any larger debris the way it came in
Heater cores do not have a "flow direction", just hot coolant in and out, and the fan blows air thru it to warm up the cab
And in your year you have to pull out most of the dash to change the heater core, so.................swap those hoses around every year, you don't have to drain coolant, some will come out but not much
