02 Ranger XLT

I've had my eye on this Ranger for months. Its been for sale up in Greeley for ages. At least a year I believe. What do you all think? Fair price?

looks good to me! i think its got a superlift kit installed... definitely worth the asking price if you want a lifted Ranger (it would cost around 2500 to get a superlift and those tires/wheels)

Seems like a decent price. Offer them 8k. Its double lifted and just asking you to put 35's or 37's under it.

why, yes it is double lifted! didnt notice the frame rails stickin out!

like i said, considering the mods, it seems to be a fair price... probably hasnt sold BECAUSE of the lift though, it seems the average buyer wants a stock rig.

I am about 99% sure i see the torsion bar drop brackets there! they look like theyre hangin pretty low... which is what the superlift kit does. although, it is hard to tell for sure by that one pic. plus it looks like its sitting higher than a simple 3" body lift would make it

Yeah I see what you mean. The 33's aren't stuffed as hard as some other BLed trucks i've seen. And I see the torsion bar drop brackets too.

They are probably right James. After more looking it does look double lifted. I would get it and take off the BL and just run the suspension lift.

I'm going to check it out Monday when I'm in Greeley. Maybe I can get them down to 7500-8k.

Any problems other then slave cylinders I should worry about?

You know the problems Ory and I have had with ours and the only real thing was the slave cylinder.

The truck is definately double lifted. Slave cyl's are pretty common failure items on these trucks.

Price wise...I'd say it's priced just right. I see over 100k trucks advertised for around the 8k range around here, which I think is overpriced considering I paid 10k for my truck when it had 30k on the clock. Add the superlift(1500 plus install, possible 400 front shaft), bodylift($250 plus install), wheels(300), tires(800, you've got a ton of parts on a truck that's already decently priced. Go for it. Check BJ's, TRE's, and if it's got a stock front shaft, remove it. lol.

Its been sitting for awhile so maybe they will want to get rid of it.

Offer them $7500 cash and see what they say.
