The Can-Am Renegade is no sport utility vehicle. It has 62 horspower, which is alot for a 4 wheeler of any kind. It's as fast as the race 450's , or so I hear, but I don't know for sure because I don't ride quads. I prefer my toys to have two wheels. If I were to buy a 4 wheeler, it would either be the Can-Am Renegade, because it's not only fast, it also has 4 wheel drive, so it's kind of exclusive in that respect, or one of these:

Can AM Renegade 800 = TANK! lotsa power but way too heavy.
Honda trx700 = probably will be heavy with the IRS but knowing honda it will be a good machine (ugly IMO).
KTM 525 = THE sh*t. I raced one at the dunes last weekend and it beat me and I have a dual piped Raptor with intake and Power comander fuel controller (putting out about 52 HP at the wheels).

I would strongly reccomend the KTM its a very fast and beautiful machine. It comes loaded from the factory.

I personally love my 07 Raptor 700 though. Its an all around awesome machine. Very fast, TONS of aftermarket potential, and very smooth with the EFI. I can go on and on. Not saying its the best, but I would have a rough time changing to something else.

400 ex? you definitely need to upgrade.

I am interested to see how the New Honda big bore will fare. Im not a huge fan of IRS though. It adds a lot of weight.

Honestly though. If you were to buy a new quad I would strongly recommend taking a good look at KTM. They are just out and I think they are going to dominate.

or get you one of these hahahaha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOCxT89ynbA

I think someone made a pointless post. But thank you for looking out.... i hope the thread gods dont strike me down.

Yes i know the 400ex is old news, but my 01 400ex has kept up pretty well on the rides with raptors, and 450's. They only times i really had problems were big hill climbs out in glamis, but other than that I could hang no problem.

I'm about to clean up the quad and it it ready to sell. I'll definitely look into the ktm's, i havent heard much about them

Oh yeah, can't complain too much about the ol 400 they are sturdy machines. My buddy has one and he has trouble hanging on long straights and big hills but in technical stuff he is right there. DEFINATELY check out the KTMs. They are going to be a force to be reconed with. the only downfall is with all the technology they threw into the bike they still stuck with carb instead of EFI. But with the 525 putting down hp #s in the 50s stock I would say it is a good candidate for a new toy. Not to mention the stock suspension is top of the line. Hell the whole quad is top of the line!

really? My king quad is barely faster then my buddies 800 popo and he beat a stock 400ex. Maybe your isnt stock?

Now that I have some upgrades done to my king quad I can beat a piped 400ex pretty good. I keep up with my buddies 450 YFZ till I hit about 50MPH

700xx - is ugly and pralyl slow (not sure yet
New KTM sport quad - Fast from what I hear, but is deisgned for a racer, so it might not suit normal trail riders.
Bomb 800 - fast for a stock ute. beats stock 450s, but is heavy and handles like poo IMO
Renegade 800- abotu as fast as a piped 450, but they have steering issues.

I like the new Artic Cat 950cc utes. Suppose to be faster then any sport quad made. We will see, only problem you can not race them in the bigger races cuz of the displacment

Honda=Too late

That Arctic cat looks like a good machine, it will probley be heavy, but have the motor to outshine it's weight. I think the newer Cats have good looks too. For now my Eiger gets the job done...LOL.

kawasaki is where it's at...

but my little brother just got the 90cc model and it's pretty neat, for a 7yr old. won't hang with my kawasaki 750, but it's quick.

The Honda 700 sport looks just like the rest of the sport quads except the from fenders are wigged out. other than that they look the same. ugly, but good machines.
