I've been very happy with my 03 Edge (4.0 5 speed Super cab) but have found a 08 Sport 4x4,

It's pretty much identical (optionwise) to my 03,but has only 40 k on it & hasn't really been in the bush,so to speak.

The owner (original) is leaving the country & there is still a year of transferrable warranty left.

I'm thinking about upgrading,but was abit leary about the 4x4 & all those extra moving parts.

How many miles do they go before the $x$ parts start to wear out?

What should I look for on this truck before I pull the "trigger".

It has original paint with NO collision damage & & seller has ALL service records including original bill of sale.of sale.

Any insight would be appreciated.

 

you've got a long time before any components of the 4x4 begin to wear out. i've had a 98 with 200k and the 4x4 worked fine. all original.


any pics of it?

 

i have a 2008 fx4, just rolled over 43xxx. i had to replace the brakes and the water pump ( under warranty). this is my third ranger and by far the best, just keeps on taking the beating and the 4x4 has never left me stuck.
