Help! We just became the new owners of a family Ford Ranger...1993 with 60K miles on it. 2WD, xlt

this is going to now become our son's first vehicle. He wants it lifted with some bigger tires. He will not be off roading really, just wants the height for appearance purposes.

Do we do a body lift or suspension lift?

He'd like 33" tires, will those also "lift" on top of whatever kit we do??

Mom here trying help navigate this and do some initial legwork. We don't want to put a small fortune into this, but would like to help him "update" his new ride a bit.
