1997 ford ranger 3.0 blown up
Welcome to the forum
Assuming you mean 3.0l engine is not working in the 1997?
If so, you will remove the intake manifold and injector system from the 1997 3.0l and install these on the 2000 3.0l, this is to match the older "return style" fuel system which changed in 1998, also to match 1997 wiring connectors for sensors and controls on the intake, and EGR system if it has one
Also need a new 1997 3.0l Cam synchronizer and cam sensor to put in the 2000 3.0l, as 2000 has newer 2 wire model that won't work with the 3 wire 1997 computer
I would use a used one(from the 1997) for this
I would also replace rear crank main seal while 2000 engine is out
Optional
Redo oil pan gasket, they leak
New oil pump, because its just a good idea, lol
If oil pan is removed, replace front cover gasket(timing chain cover), these often leaked coolant
