AFAIK Ford discontinued the splash in 1997.....

As for the actual question I think you need to elaborate, re-word, clarify.......something. I have no idea what you're asking.

If you are asking if the timing belt breaks will it destroy the heads? Not to worry. You have a timing chain set up not a belt set up.

Actually I believe it was 98. I have seen several of the 98 style trucks with Splash stickers.

I myself don't know the year that the splash name stopped but I really like the stepside on my 02 Edge, it's the reason we bought our Ranger that and it only had 51,000 miles on it.

The Splash was offered from 93 to 99. The distinctive differences are painted bumpers, grille, color coded mirrors and of course the decals. You may see a lot of step sides that have Splash decals but if they have chrome or non body colored mirrors they are fake.

I thought the "Splash" ended in '97 and for the '98 year Ford brought out the "Sport" which had the color matched bumper and looked very Splash like.
