I have a 1996 2.3 two wheel drive ranger. It has 191,000 mile. When i start the truck no noise,however, as the engines gets warm,a tapping noise begans. Its cuts out when you hit the gas pedtal. starts again when you let off the gas...any help would be great...

Also, just changed my fuel filter and now, i have gas leaking from the front of the filter.. i check the connections and it's good.. thanks

no, i just spell noise properly. You need to give a bit more info...you could have an engine knock?

 

i have a 95 2.3 5 spd i have the same noise coming from underneath the truck when i engage the clutch the noise stops. it could be the same type of sound. im not sure what it is but it hasnt seemed to be causing any damage that i can tell. not sure if this helped u out..
