okay so there are very limited things to do with my little 2.9 give it some extra umph...but when i was at the junkyard yesterday i found a 1988 murkur Scorpio...its a 2.9 also but has a different intake set-up, i plan on picking up this gem when i go back on Saturday for my bumper.

anyone ever have a 2.9 with the Scorpio intake, and how did it work out?

I didn't get it that day because the brakes went out on my truck...17 years of road salt took its toll on the metal line.

Good old Merkur. I'd kill for a XR4Ti in excellent condition.

If it does work paint it blue and red like the old one. I really like that.

If the intake doesn't work out Spectre Performance would be a good place to look for a custom intake.
