I have a 2002 ford ranger with a 3.0L engine and manual transmission
I have been having problems starting the car as of late and my friend who
is a mechanic said that all it is is the starter

so i purchased the starter today, got under the car and removed
all of the nuts and bolts that i need to, to replace the starter

problem is, the old starter is stuck and will not come off at all.....

yay!

so now i am sitting here, having to go to work, and no running truck
until i fix this problem and unfortunately, my time is running short to
get the work i've done to my client

any tips?

 

well, it finally came off

for some reason it wouldn't come off and i had to take a rubber mallet to it once or twice

it then came off no problem and now i sit back and enjoy a beer

 

next time just give it a quick crank and try it again but good thing you got it off
