2003 3.0 L Won't start after .....

After a 705 code the transmission sensor was changed. The sensor appears to be in perfect alignment, but the engine will not start although all other electronics are functioning. Fuses for starter circuit were tested and are good. Any suggestions for what to test and the order in which I should test components/circuits?

Is this a "Crank no Start" or a "No Crank"

Try shifting transmission to Neutral and see if starter motor works

On the transmission shift rod, drivers side is the DTR(digital transmission range) sensor, inside it there is a Neutral Safety Switch, it only allows starter motor to work in Park or Neutral
Make sure it got plugged back in all the way

Fuse 24 in the cab fuse box passes the 12volts to Neutral switch to activate starter relay in engine fuse box

You should mention the "number" on the fuses you tested, there are only 2, #24 in cab fuse box and #11 in engine fuse box

If you see a rapid flashing light on the dash with key ON, then PATS is your issue, anti-theft was activated so no crank, and no start

Thank you for your help. Based on what you told me I was able to determine that the DTR sensor was not supplying current to the first fuse. I disconnected the new sensor and attached the old one and the truck started. It turns out your suggestion to be sure the electrical connection to the sensor was plugged in all the way nailed the problem. I didn't realize it needed a slightly more forceful push to get the new sensor connected properly. Thank you so much for helping this old man who will never call himself a skilled mechanic. With the truck fixed I can tow my boat again and shake my fist at the fish that won't bite. I don't call myself a skilled fisherman either.
