2003 Ranger Edge Tire Reccomendations
Hey all! I've been indecisive lately not knowing what tires to run. I got some pretty basic 15" steel wheels for my 03 ranger edge... it does have a lift on it when I purchased it but I'm not sure exactly how big... I wanna say 3-4" area. I decided to go with 33 x 12.5 x 15 tires for it to fill in the space without being obnoxiously big causing rubbing issues etc etc, so I've been shopping around.
The main LOOK I want from the tire is tready offroad, but I also don't want it to be obnoxiously loud like a full mud tire. SOME sound is ok though.
I really like nitto... ridge grapplers are great but they come in 16" minimum, so I was thinking trail grapplers which are a little more aggressive, but come with discomfort and some road noise which I don't mind much.
BFG has some good options too but the main thing I want is the offroad aggressive look, without massive downsides of comfort and noise, does anyone else have suggestions before I go through with one? Anything 300+ per tire is really pushing it price wise so staying at or below that is preferred. THANK YOU
Also if anyone has any CHEAPER recommendations with the same look, feel free... but I know offroad tires can be pricey

The larger the gaps in the tread the better the traction on loose surfaces(off-road) but the louder the noise on hard surfaces, especially at speed
The gaps trap air when the tire is pressed onto the hard surface, what you hear is the air escaping as its forced out
So that's the trade off
You can run higher tire air pressure "on road" which means less surface contact so a bit less noise(and better MPG), then lower pressure off-road for more surface contact and better traction

Sorry, do not have a suggestion on brand and tread designs
