A lot of my brake lines have been rusting out, I have replaced a bunch of them with 3/16" copper-nickel repair line and (3/8-24) Inverted Tube Nuts.
When I replaced the one at my master cylinder recently, I could not figure out if it was a bubble flare or a double flare.
I wound up doing it bubble flare style and tightened it down without any issue using the old OEM cap on the master cylinder.
Is this the right style of flare for a 2003 Ranger? At this point I am not leaking any fluid and the brakes are holding pressure.
I am asking because I used a friends brake repair kit at the time and my personal kit only does "double flares".
If it is a bubble flare master cylinder I may have to purchase another kit to keep on hand.
Thanks for any input.
