If I run the engine without the serpentine belt in place for a short period of time, is there anything i need worry about? I need to check something with and without the alternator spinning and the only way as to take the belt off. Will Anything blow up or should I be ok?

 

you will be fine. i wouldnt drive that way for a long distance due to no chargin, not cooling, and no powersteering, but for diagnostics, it fine

 

id set up a fan for the radator depeding on how long your guna be doing it for too

 

ya the warning light that says your over heating will only come on AFTER the big bang.

 

wont do any good since the water pump wont be turning to push any coolant thru the rad in the first place.

 

i wouldnt run it for more than a minute or so since you wont have any water pump running
