I'd go for it if it were about 10k. You can get a fullsize for that price. Looks good.

There was an 04-05 Level II with 110k at my local Ford dealership that they wanted 14k for.

I don't think the problem I had was too common. I have rarely heard of valve springs failing in these trucks, and in that case, since I imagine they use the same springs in each cylnider, valve spring failures would be dispersed among all cylinders.

To the op, that truck is a beauty! Hopefully you can get them down to an acceptable price!

A lot of my family works for Ford....So I get hookups.
Dealerships will always list a vehicle for more than what its worth...if they are smart. They do it bc there are people who have no clue about vehicles and will walk in blind and pay that bull**** price not knowing that it's a complete rip off. If I were you I would go and give them your information, offer them 11,500 tax and title. If they say no just say fine I have one lined up somewhere else and leave. They will either try to negotiate with you or let you walk. If they don't negotiate then just leave, You will most likely get a call back from them cause the auto industry is in the ****s and they will do anything to get you to buy it. I would say 11,500 and not a dime more.

The bad thing is... this vehicle is in WV, and I'm in NC. It's not that easy to negotiate.

I have a few friends with dealerships in that area. If you are interested I might be able to get you hooked up with it.

i remember there being a post that made mention of poor intake into one of the rear cylinders due to bad design but i can't remember if it was 4.0L or v8 and i forget what year it was. i wanna say bob posted about it though.

OP, haggle. it looks like a great truck. i'm not feeling the red seats and maybe you aren't either. use that as your starting point.

We paid 9k for my wife's 04 LII. Leather interior, 5 speed, 96k. No problems so far and it's up to 140k. She rolled her/my old 01, had 139k on it and the engine looked GREAT when I tore it down. I take religious care of them, but I'm expecting 250k+ out of this one....especially since it will be mine come Spring!

No freaking way I'll EVER get an auto after my Explorer plow truck incident. Trans cooler line to the radiator went, b/c of this it took out the trans when the coolant and ATF mixed. $175 rad costs upwards of $400 in trans work (and that's DIY rebuild, 1200 if a shop does the rebuild). No thanks, I'll stick with my brain and simnplicity of a manual trans.

Look out for the rust at the bottom inside of the doors....just get to it quick enough before it casues and rust through.

I have an 04 Edge, I paid 9,600 with about 55k on it. I'd talk him down lower still, under 12k at least... make sure that includes the tax and title. Read carefully, make sure they don't try to add anything you don't need, and make sure you get a good interest rate obviously, if you are financing.

i HATE you. my fvcking dream truck right there get that truck now. You will NOT find a lower mileage truck like that. That price is not too bad since it is that low in mileage. I know how picky you are and that truck will be HARD to beat
