well already there is corrosion started all through all four rims, apparently from the tire and wheel expert i go to see it is slat that has already made it behind the polished finish and is eating away the inside, now I've actually seen about 4 other rangers driving around town with the same markings on there rims, so i believe it is a problem with the way they've polished the rims or something, however for the price of the rims which are, $750-800 dollars per rim, he says they should be covered under a manufactures defect warranty or a quality warranty of some sort so I'm going back to raise some hell on the matter but just thought I'd throw this out there.

Wow. Thats almost hard to believe. I'm not calling you a liar or anything. It seems like there would be more people complaining of the same problem. Guess people just don't realize it?

So you really don't think it's because of all the elements and the salt on the roads during the winter?

i don;t know what caused the corrosion to start but corrosion period on a rim that's only a year old it just falls under there warranty I'm no longer in Richmond hill and when i was there i dealt with pine tree i tried to buy a truck form twin hills but was having a rather hard time dealing with them, as for the price of the rims i know this price cause i tried to buy a 5th rim to use as a full size spare and that's the price they gave me.

all aluminum wheels do that due to the elements and the clip on weights, they should be covered under warranty

yes rims for even bigger vehicles like escalades and hummers are cheaper the reason why is they are ford products for example try getting any stock rims with a companies logo on them they can charge whatever they want. and that's just for polished aluminum I'd love to here what there price are for the platinum rims or the f150's chrome rims.

that did not make any sense... these were cadilac brand 22s. the dumbass that bought it sold the stock 22s and put on aftermarket 20s so they bought 22" escalade BRAND rims to go on it. and ive never heard of bigger rims being cheaper dude.

yes sorry that was probably bad wording what i meant is bigger rims are expensive yes i understand that the bigger the rim usually the more expensive however this rule is broken when you get to stock dealer rims only because they can charge whatever they want for them. actually that's probably not the right wording either I'd have to agree with you it doesn't make sense but that's what there charging for them but again remember these prices i listed are in Canadian dollars so in the states it's probably cheaper.

wow. punctuation kicks your ***.

I would def. be looking into warranty work..you're covered 3 yrs 60k bumper to bumper. your wheels happen to be between your bumpers. take it in and get it fixed. you shouldn't be paying those ridiculous prices.

Stock rims are crazy expensive. It doesn't mean they're worth it, but like said above, OEM can charge what ever they want and roll it into the price of the car. All those little pieces add up to the sticker price. Then the replacement parts are gonna cost the same.
