351 Engine swap in 3rd gen ranger?

Has this been done? I can get my hands on a 351 w/ tranny and exhaust for $400 from a buddy of mine. Just wondering how much work it really is doing the swap.. My engine is running like garbage right now so its either get a new 4.0l or dump the 351 in my baby

Opinions?

DO IT! NOEWWWWWWW 351 = 302 block = find exploder 5.0 motor mounts and the job is halfway done . Oh and if you just happen to find heads from a 302 H.O and drill the bolt holes out a little bigger you will notice a very good increase in power.

You will need to use a swap 351w oil pan for a fox body mustang. Its about 130 $ from summit . As for exhaust you may be able to use a stock pair . I made my own. you may also have to modify your trny mount. I am using a C4 so I hade to move mine a good amount forward. And as for motor mounts go to james duff and get there swap mounts for the 4x4. You will also need to get a oil filter relocation kit. I hope that hepls you out.
