4x4 stuck in 2007 ford ranger what do i do?
Welcome to the forum
There are only 2 parts in a 2007, 4x4 module and shift motor, both available at wrecking yards.
Any way yes, you can shift it out of 4low manually
Look here: How to: Rebuild 4X4 Shift Motor | Ford Explorer and Ford Ranger Forums - Serious Explorations
4th picture down shows transfer case shift rod pointed at 2H, thats 2WD, yours will be pointed at 4L, 4low
You need to remove the shift motor and use a pair of pliers to rotate the shift rod CLOCKWISE back to 2H
BUT........!!!!!!!!!!!!, there can be NO WEIGHT/TORQUE on the drive lines, so block a wheel, or be on LEVEL GROUND
Between 4L and 4H is NEUTRAL, it is not marked but it is there, directly across from 2H
So when you rotate shift rod it will go to Neutral and if tire is not blocked truck WILL roll away, with you under it.
