5th wheel hitch pictures

Bought a small 5er to pull with the Ranger, so had to install a hitch. Here's the outcome:

If your pulling a fifth wheel trailer wouldn't it be WAY over the rangers hauling limits? And those mirrors look so bad

It bugs me too.

I know the mirrors don't look the best, but they sure help a ton. I did 800 miles of towing just last week with it.

What dent? He won't be able to pop it out because of the bedliner.

How much does the 5th wheel weigh? I would be surprised if it was under 5k loaded unless you are hauling Styrofoam lol.

x2

Most 5th wheel trailers empty are close, or over the Ranger's safe tow limit.

It's a 95 Shadow Cruiser. I crossed the scales with a bunch of junk in the bed weighing 8900 pounds total. So much for your big dumb loads.

It looks similar to this (don't have a picture of it):

Isn't the towing capacity only 5k or close to it? 8900 is a lot

Need to look at the gross combined vehicle weight (GCVW). That's truck and trailer weight added together. For my Ranger its 9500 pounds. I have at least 600 pounds of room, I had a lot of extra junk in the bed of the truck that I don't need.

It pulls like a dream. 5th wheel setups crush even the best weight distribution hitches in terms of handling and ride.
