ABS Issue!
Hey everyone, I have a small problem here with my ABS, hopefully some of you can chime in.
So recently, as some of you may know, I installed a 4" Superlift suspension lift.
Ever since I've installed it, I have had this problem with braking. The problem is not intermittent, it happens every single time, and at the exact same speed.
Every time I am slowing down to a stop, at around ~5km/hr, my ABS 'kicks on' and my steering wheel pulls to the right.
It only happens at that exact same speed every single time, and braking is perfect at every other speed (even after I come to a stop and the ABS problem leaves)
I have called Superlift Tech and they mentioned that they had the same problem with their Ranger but once they got an alignment, it fixed it. Not sure how an alignment would affect that, but I have already gotten one and it didn't fix anything.
Here is what I think is going on - when I took out the ABS sensor, I must have damaged it in some way only on the passenger side (hence ABS engaging only on that side causing the 'pull' to the right). I have checked all the brake pads, rotors, etc., and everything looks good, so it has to be the ABS sensor.
What do you guys suggest I do? Should I pull the ABS sensor out and get a new one?

ABS system stops brake pressure so prevents lockup or pulling, ABS opens a valve on a brake line to ease brake pressure on that one front wheel, a fast pulsing of the valve.
So you are thinking the ABS valve for the Left front wheel(drivers side) is opening, preventing lock up on Drivers side but not passenger side which would cause pulling to the Right.
You would feel the pulsing of that ABS valve in the brake pedal.
It could be caliper or pads on that side are sticking a bit, when you are going slow enough they release and you get sudden grip, causing ABS light, from sudden slowing of that wheel.
So ABS is a reaction to the brake issue, not the cause.
Yes, I wouldn't think an alignment would solve your issue.
