7 years old. babied. Washed 4x a week. Waxed 4x a year. New Rust Hole!!!
There are trucks around my town that havent seen so much as soap in FIVE years that dont have this brewing on their fender
i dont know for sure, but you might be washing it too much, one of the catylists of rust is water. if its getting wet and the water is sitting in crevices where it doesnt have much time to dry this could possibly cause it? just a theory
that kind of rust comes from behind the panel so if youre not washing the underside of your truck, behind the fenders, tailgate, doors, rockers, ect. the rust will still form. washing the paint does nothing to protect the truck from rust.
Yea, North weather sucks. I've got a spot bubbling up on my hood i noticed the other day.
you should take your truck to the quarter wash and spray all the inside panels (inner fenders, bedsides, ETC) out every month or so, or if you have a pressure washer that wouldn't be too bad either.

i spray under there. i can see the pan on the under side of the bed's wheel wells are gone. no rust though.
i angle the power sprayer towards the underside of the fender and there is dirt and mud or whatever that comes out.

I actually keep the underside of my truck and onside the wheel wells/fenders pretty clean.
I can still change my oil in a white shirt and not get dirty. I am pretty peticular about that

BAHAHAHAHA
he is correct...washing the paint does nothing...looks like there is a dent there too?
lmfaoooo
Yup, some $1 flat black spray paint and a few cans of $6 undercoat every summer :)
Exactly, I go to the car wash once every couple months and spray underneath extensively to remove all the salt, in the winter its about once every 2 weeks to every 3 weeks, gotta get that salt off!
Just like, take a can and start spraying? I've been thinking about doing this too when i paint my mirrors and door handles.
