Has any one out there ever attempted to swap out the 4cyl engine and replace it with an early 170 ci. engine from a 61 falcon, etc. Are there any encountered problems matching it up with the housing and 4spd trans? Engine was previously hooked up to an auto trans. Does it need a pilot bushing? thanks

 

Umm, Maybe post this in drivetrain thread, also search using the "search button". BTW I have never heard of this happening so you might have trouble finding info

As far as hooking up the 4 spd, You would have to buy an adapter plate, if they make one, or have one made.
