I assume by rear end, you mean the rear axle. Right?

they should be...I think first gen ran from like 83 to 90? and then 91 to 97 for 2nd...i'm probably a few years off. check wikipedia.

83-87 is first, 88-92 is second, 93-7 third.

it should bolt in, but it may be an inch or so narrower than the 93.
