I have a 1994 Ranger with a 4.0 and a five speed manual trans. Replace the clutch yesterday and now a can not move the shifter into the reverse position. Any one have an Idea?

 

you may not have the shifter fork installed properly. i would remove it and make sure all the gear forks are in neutral

 

stepside. I have had it out 3 or 4 times. unless I'm missing something it is in nuetral.
I read somewhere there is a neutral lockout switch. but every thing is hooked up the way it was and it worked before clutch install

 

I'm sorry, I meant reverse lockout

 

Pull the shifter housing and verify the reverse lockout is correct.
