I got a 96 ranger and i have been having some problems with the e brake. i looked at the cable and its a little loose. it works but i cant park on too steep hills.

Is there a bolt somewhere i can tighten up?

yes,,on the driver side...you'll see the brake cable and an adjusting nut assembly.....you'll need pliers and a wrench...1st...leave truck in GEAR and release the parking brake...then turn the nut until the slack is lessened...do NOT over do this or you'll engage rear brakes...just fuss with it for a few and you'll get it right good luck
