98~00 Ranger price range?

I'm just kinda curious here but how much are the 98~99 2wd XLT rangers running for? I had looked around some but the prices are all over the place.

I prefer 2wd, with a manual. Kinda like Bwester's old truck.

Was the 4.0 offered in a 2wd Ext Cab XLT with a manual in those years? doubtful. I think the 3.0 would be fine, but i want a manual this time.

Any input would be great. I'm 22 so anyone in that age range how much is your insurance on your 98~99 (full coverage)

Its been so windy I hate driving it, I'm just all over the road and i have to fight it. If its not windy I can drive it perfectly fine, but it has been windy for the last 2 weeks sucks.

Plus its got over 80k miles on it, I don't really want to put more on. Not to mention I have a million plans for my truck but need something else to drive.

my 98 4x4,4.0,5sp man was $5800 with 122,000 miles on it. I had to replace the crank pos sensor on it but tht was the only issue with it. my old 98 4.0,2wd,5spd auto with 76,000 miles probably couldnt have been sold for $7500.

damn, i was about to give you the web address to where my truck was for sale :P the dealer just sold it though.. so you guys in the DFW area look out for it, it's on the prowl!

They had it listed for an outrageous $8250 at the vw dealer and i bought it 4 years ago for 9k out the door with 24k miles, traded it with 88k. You should be able to get a gen 4 2wd/manual 3.0L or 4.0L OHV (with power accessories) for $7k or less.

Thanks for the Info..

I'm hoping for around 5k, no way i could afford the 8k they wanted for yours, that seems high. plan is in a couple years to bag it. I dont really care about mileage or paint. only thing im picky on is the interior would like it to look half way decent.

Yeah I thought about going to look at it, since the last 99 got sold from under me, but I really don't want a 2wd.
