99 Ranger manual shifter bolt idea

Hello to all! Happy New Year! I'm new to the Ranger forum and want to be respectful to all who have come before me and those yet to come. Please bear with me as I learn the ropes. I appreciate your input, and yes, I am not mechanically gifted and will have a lot of questions that may sound silly. Apologies in advance! Thank you for your patience and knowledge. So, I have a 1999 Ranger 3.0 4x4 Flex that I replaced the clutch on. Somewhere in the chaos, the shifter bolt was misplaced, thrown away, or taken for some unknown reason. I priced the bolt on the web as well as at the dealership and it looks like $50 and I just do not have a lot of money to spend on this awkward piece (nut and bolt).

If anyone has an idea or less expensive alternative to the $50 nut and bolt???????? - I am all ears. Thanking you ahead of time for you suggestion(s) and knowledge.

Jef
