those of you that have been around for a while (and from gen edge) know i'm pretty **** about my truck. well, it's always bugged me that my front wheels stuck out, a little more than the rear, since the spindle lift. i ordered some Eibach adapters from truckperformance.com sometime back but haven't had the time to install them. they are just over an inch wide and are hub-centric. well yesterday i finally got them on. i ground down the studs to just-below-flush with adapter (leo...lol), torqued them down at 100 ft/lbs, put some threadlock on them, and mounted and torqued the wheels. it looks much better (to me), there's no vibrations or anything while driving. now i can sleep at night. lol.

anytime you get the center of the wheel away from the center of the hub or bearing it wears the bearing out faster then normal.
back in the day when RWD wheels were cool to put on escorts and such (you have seen these guys, you know the cars with the 100 spoke wire wheels that hang out 10 inches past the wheel well) most of the time only get 20K or so on the bearings.

dont get me wrong i love garys truck, but i personaly would never use ANY wheel spacer.

Well honestly, for guys like me who have 8" wide wheels with almost 6" of backspacing, I don't see the problem. Even with the adapter my wheel still has a positive offset (backspacing of 4.75" if you think of the adapter as part of the wheel.)
