Adding fog/ditch lights in bumper of 2008?
Occasionally I drive my 2008 3.0 Ranger after dark. It seems to have very poor lighting compared to our other vehicles. I see it has ports for lighting in the bumper, and it seems that adding lights there would be a good way to improve nighttime driving safety. Can any of you advise the procedure to add such lights (and who makes them) and if they would be activated somewhere in the cab without some ugly toggle switch?
You can get um on ebay, and other sites.Make sure you get the ones with brackets.
If you don't have a switch on your dash, find a nice looking switch.I have mine mounted
below steering wheel, left side of fuse/plastic panel.

The lower bumper lights are considered Fog Lights, so depending on local laws it can be illegal to drive on public roads with them on, unless of course there is Fog, lol.
Headlight lens/housings can get scratched up, lowering light output.
And there are options for brighter headlights, read here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...08-05-a-53447/
