adding horsepower

can somebody tell me how to add more horespower to my 3.0 automatic, I have 32x11.5x15 on there know but when I am going down the highway it keeps shifting out of overdrive. The gas mileage isn't the greatest but it really sucks when it won't stay in overdrive. Any help would be appreciated. thanks guys

Re-gearing, throttle cable mod and tuner. Other than that, "horsepower" and "3.0" do not go hand-in-hand.

ok I guesss I don't need horsepower but I am just tired of it shifting out of overdrive all the time, so re-gearing would be best? which gears?

Yes regearing will help with that, are you 4wd or 2wd? Check what gears you have stock, you can look in your door tag. This will help

If you don't have the door tag you can look on the little metal tag on your rear diff

Yeah regearing will be expensive for you, $700-1000. I would just deal with it personally. I have the same combo, 3.0/4.10s/32s and it jumps out of overdrive a lot when I'm driving but I can still pull 20mpg on the highway. The next step up for you is 4.56s which I wouldn't go too unless you plan on moving to bigger tires in the future. if so I would include regearing in your budget.
