quick question what does removing the air intak silencer do? how does it benefit my truck?







~2007 Ranger (Sport Edition), 3.0L V6~

 

does nothing but make the intake a tad less restrictive and could give a "cooler" sound

I've heard the "cool" sound isn't as prevelant on the 3.0's as it is with a 4.0

 

i couldn't tell any difference when i removed mine

 

so its really not worth the trouble.

 

it sounds cool... thats really about it. more air probably runs through, but i didnt notice a power difference.

 

You will notice a slight sound change in your exhaust (or atleast i didn wtih my flowmaster) and your engine will thank you for the added air flow... its a less than 5min mod so stupid to say not worth the time

 

after i took mine it out noticed an instant sound difference from the engine.. alot louder... plus it added to my exhuast note outside.. no much if any power gain. but then again i sawed off the whole front of the box itself...

 

Doesn't do anything. But it's fun to toy with the truck and rip **** apart.
