Airbag light

Hi,

I inherited a 1995 Ford Ranger that my grandfather bought new in 1996. It's been well maintained and preserved through the years.

I only have one concern troubling us. The airbag light flashes the typical sequence with a single flash pause then 2 more flashes, does this 5 consecutive times then stays on steady. Which this is trouble code 12 (low voltage).

It had a faulty battery when I noticed this, I I replaced with a new battery & new battery terminals, but it did not change the airbag light code 12.

Here's the thing, we currently do not have a tag or insurance on the truck, so I can't drive it to a shop to have the code cleared/reset. Has anyone else had this same issue before?

Any input will be greatly appreciated. I'm fixing to put it up for sale and I rather not have any warning lights on.

Thanks in advance 🙂

No, I read somewhere to check 19 & 2 if I recall correctly on the interior fuse box on driver side dash, but I will check the two that you just suggested tomorrow and will let you know the results.

Thank you

Good Afternoon,

I checked fuses 6 & 15 and both of them look good.

Any other suggestions?
