Alingment gone wrong
Alingment gone wrong
Man I am pissed took my truck in to get alingment done after SL and new tire install
now steering wheel sits cockedeyed when driving straight and the right rear wheel well is 1 an 1/4 inch lower than the rest of the truck and all where the same level when i took it in
spent three days making sure every thing was the same WTF did they do? Anyone have any ideas, Its going back for sure one of my biggest pet peeves is crooked steering wheels
when driving straight down the road.

shop I have been to many times they have always done me right before but the fact that my truck is not setting level now just reallt pisses me off, all they should have had to do was adjust the camber/caster
yeah it weird it seems to sit straight until you drive down the road take your hands off the wheel and it tracks straight but the wheel is cocked
Why would the rear be so far off now as far as levelness what could they have done ?

Could the rear possibly be a difference of psi in the tires? i know it sounds stupid that it could be that much off but just a thought. But i would definitely take it back to them and speak to the manager cause thats not the way it was when you took it in there so why should it be your problem.
no they are going to re adjust front end alingment and square up steering wheel for me
rear end is fine just the way it was sitting in my driveway I guess I check it out this morning sitting at work and they are the the same on each side with in a 1/4"

I usually get 3yr alignments, they aren't too bad, about 120 and bring it back as many times as you want! I don't even have to give them hell
It's easy to rip on the guys who did the alignment but have you guys ever done alignments? I worked at a dodge dealership for years and the biggest PIA job were alignments. I just hated them. For exactly the reason stated here, crooked steering wheel. Our rack was an older hunter and it sucked! There was always a 50/50 chance of the steering wheel being crooked. I hated it for that reason. I used to get the vehicle all set up and lock the steering wheel with the tool, then start the vehicle and shut if off just to make sure there was no tension in the steering linkage. It just really really sucked. My hats off to anyone who enjoys doing alignments. I take heavy work anyday over em!
