all 3 duff traction bars discontinued

I had been waiting for the classic traction bars to arrive since before xmas. I just called james duff and they told me that the classics aswell as the large and small housing have all been discontinued ... I'm soooooo incredably disapointed i could just about cry . I'm been waiting over a year to get a set and now its just not even possible.

So if you wanted duff traction bars , sorry , your SOL.

PotterFX4 02-02-2007 02:05 PM

lifted97ranger 02-02-2007 02:05 PM

RangerJustin 02-02-2007 02:05 PM

mine will be for sale in a year or so...

n3elz 02-02-2007 02:09 PM

I thought they were a popular item. Did they say why they discontinued them.

Roach2004 02-02-2007 02:15 PM

That sucks what other Traction bars are out there for Rangers?

PotterFX4 02-02-2007 02:16 PM

Didn't RCD develop a set of bars? I wasnt sure if they ever went to market.

Roach2004 02-02-2007 02:24 PM

I know Lakewood makes traction bars for the Rangers but I dont know how good they are.

$$$$$$$$$

but it pays to play..

make some..thats what ill be doing..or something in those lines (:

Alon 02-02-2007 02:26 PM

I have the RCD bars and if there is enough interest in them i will try to make a few sets of them...

Then again, it will be a little pricier than the james duff $80 ones

HighRollerII 02-02-2007 02:31 PM

i forgot what they looked like too lol..

werent they a few hundred from RCD?

stockranger 02-02-2007 02:53 PM

I asked why and said they seem like a pupular item. they said they are not popular at all.

Hey alon you should make duff style bars !

I personaly am not intersted in any kind of traction bar that doesn't mount above the leafs . if the bars go under I'm sure to smash them up on a rock one day.

HarryTasker 02-02-2007 03:18 PM

James duff recently moved their shops to Tennesse from Squim Wa. I think they may have been bought out by another company and that is why some parts may not be continued. It may be possible to get some made if a group buy were to be done.

stockranger 02-02-2007 04:06 PM

the only duff bar they still have is 5302 for the bronco ... that one won't work will it ?

Warrior Products makes some, they call them TorqueBarz.

No experience with them, no idea what they cost, but definately worth looking into I think!

I have lakewoods on my truck.. Their for ' street ' setups and they would take away clearence on an off-road application.

ScottG 02-03-2007 12:28 AM

HighRollerII 02-03-2007 08:12 AM

that looks like a very simple design..i dont see why i couldnt make some..

ive got access to metal brakes, steel, and all the other misc tools to cut all that crap..

graniteguy 02-03-2007 09:04 AM

I have a dozen of the brackets that mount to the u-bolts. that is the hardest part of the system to recreate.
