Soooo Im comming home from work and open the garage door to pull in, when I see a black truck sitting in MY spot in the garage...

I sit for a sec and think..."wait Im driving my truck, whos is that?" (I had drivin my moms stang for about a week while my truck was at Ford)

Then all of the info floods back. Last night Jared and I were both looking at used trucks on the internet (for ourselves, yes Im looking to get a lvl II and have been for some time, Jason knows why :p ) Anyway... so last night I found this black lvl II not to far away and showed it to Jared (my bro, mudhippy, for the late person).

Well it turns out he went to look at it while I was at work and bought it!

Its a black 2003 Fx4 LVL II with all the options (of course). It is a really nice truck for being used, only 13,000 miles and it was listed twice on the website I found it on so he got it for the cheaper price!!

Im so glad Jared FINALLY found a NICE truck (not to mention a Ranger). He deserves it :D

Anyway, Jared wanted me to post this since he is workin on homework at the moment. Im sure you will see plenty of posts from him in the very near future. He was already telling me his plans for it...haha

Picutres WILL be up tomorrow of the new "brothers"

Here are the pictures of Jared's new toy

haha, no compition Phil. I may be driving my own LvL II in the near future. I was planning on looking at a red 04 that I looked at a few weekends ago, again.

The old truck is in the backyard again. I think my dad plans on keeping that thing until he dies. My parents bought it before I was even born

Would a regular 4x4 ORP not have done the same job for thousands less? Or did he really need those 31 Splines and a Torsen L/S....

Ditto -- sounds like your bro's is the exact twin to mine so I'd be really interested to hear what he paid. :)

And bd to Mudhippy -- you're gonna love the truck!

He paid 13,995 out the door. It was supposed to go for 15,999 but the guy listed it twice as two different trucks.

I have been looking around for another lvl II for around the same price and year but havent found anything less than $18-20,000 with at least 20,000 more miles.

Trucks in our area (especially 4x4s) are more expensive...sometimes I hate California.

That is an incredible deal!! I trust it was a private sale.
Plenty of money left for MODS before he over values his truck.
Only one question Bailey, how are you going to get your garage spot back? 8)

That does seem to be a good price. I owe just a bit less than that, so maybe I have hope of being right-side up if I decide to trade out sometime soon.

Although 18-20k is pretty steep for a used truck! I paid just under $20k for mine brand new. And they've got an '04 LII on the lot for the same price as of last Thursday when I was up for service.

Nope it was at a tiny little dealership (from what I understand)

Dont worry about the garage...I have the garage door opener :D

The prices around here are crazy high! Pick up that LvL II for me and Ill come get it :D If I could find a new 04 LvL II for that price, I would be all over that!

Like I said, I hate Cali sometimes. We have to pay more in every aspect for everything (or so it seems)

All of the 04 LvL IIs at our dealerships are $27,000 or more. (fx4 offroads are about 2,000 to 1000 less). A red one I was looking at was around 26,555 or something...

Autofair Ford, Manchester, NH (http://ford.autofair.com/)

Can't endorse their service department right now, after my recent experience w/ them, but they ARE one of the cheaper dealers around. As per their web-site the MOST expensive Ranger they have in stock is this one:

2004 Ford Ranger 4dr Supercab 4.0L XLT FX4 4WD

Vehicle Overview
VIN: 1FTZR45EX4PB44810
Stock Number: A842208
Exterior: Dark shadow grey
Interior: Ebony
Mileage: N/A
Model Number: R45
Engine: 4.0 Ltr 6 Cyl.
Transmission: Automatic

MSRP $29,185.00
Upfront Lowest Price $20,845.00
Savings $8,340.00
They don't do a very good job at listing the FX4 vs LII packages, and the photos they have are stock photos of plain-jane XLT, but I suspect this is an LII. I saw a red LII on the lot w/ my own eyes for $19,xxx just last week.

Should I add that we don't pay any tax?! :-D
