Anyone knopw how much it costs to powder coat.

I have an 02 EXT cab 4x4 XLT with chrome nerf bars. I was thinking about taking them off and having them powder coated. I was just wondering how much it costs, I know the chrome would have to be stripped off first.

It depends on where you have them done. Some places are very expensive while others are very reasonable. I am going to say around $250.

X2 It really depends on the shop and how much prep it will take. i just got my D-ring and receiver and a grenade powder coated for $40 at my local shop.

Ive paid $30 a wheel out here. That included sandblasting as well. I would say $80-$100 for the bars.

I actually just got a quote to color match my '07 step/nurf bars DSG.
With blasting a antirust coating and than the 2 stage powder thay wanted about $325.
Guy told me that price could change depending on the blasting time.
Also told me I could possibly save about $50 if I did a single stage powder.
He was also going to do his best to blast and powder the inside of the bars as well.

Same guy did a 4cyl oil pan for $35 with the antirust and $5/per for 2 brackets.

I found out it's just cheaper to buy new nerf bars instead of having them powder coated. Same thing with chrome cheaper to buy new.
