Right. The upper heim joint failed at the eye bolt. The eye sheared right off the shaft. This caused the front axle to misalign, which tweaked the driveshaft until the whole differential and axle flipped in the direction of rotation and crammed the U-joint into the oil pan.
Shortly before the massive failure, they had the driver's side rear shock mount bend completly up. This made the whole rear end settle down on the driver's rear tire and rub the fender. They hauled it back and re-welded it, only to take it right back out and really screw it up.
