Bald Buckshots + Snow =

I really need to get my all terrains on soon!

 

yup i need some new tires too i have 2 almost bald ones

 

ive been telling you to get them changed for a long time now!!

 

what really sucks is a crappy Chevy Astro work van with "P" series tires on it in Cloum us, OH snow..........that is where is am at now and they have like 4" of snow.......it is a pain to get around.......cant wait to get my new work 4wd Explored

 

Bald tires are terrible in the snow. I been there its not a fun time

Yea they can be a pain in the **** in the snow. Quick question. Do tires with low pressure have less traction in the snow? One of my rear tires has a small leak in it im pretty sure and I was wondering if I would get less traction in it being low. 41 psi down to 34 psi isn't normal for one day is it?

 

You should have more traction becasue theres more tread making contact with the ground. In the military hummers they can let the air out of the tires from the cab if they need more traction. Its pretty cool.

Bald Buckshots + Snow = ...Thats funnie that you say that... I had the exact same experience last winter..IT SUXED!!!

Kinda true....Slimmer/narrower tires dig deeper into terrain such as snow, mud, and water. Wider/flatter tires I.E. Soft tires, will float over water, snow, and mud. You don't really want wider tires in snow. You want narrower or knobbier tires to dig through the snow. Or...before I get pwned by some old crotchety tire expert....that's just my educated guess/opinion on tires and traction.

 

My plow truck(un-registered version) has bald tires. I needed to use 4low to move the thing around and had to use the plow angle feature to get unstuck a couple times (pushed off the snow bank). I also almost got stuck at the end of the neibghors driveway again. Last year I had to get a 2nd truck to pull it from the neibghors driveway(steep incline).

sorry but thats one of the stupidest things i have heard.did you figure you wouldn't have to use you PLOW truck in the snow this year?

 

I've used it twice so far. 1st time for like 3-4 inches of snow and 2nd time for like 1 inch.

I'm just not motivated. I have some decent tires but I have to have them dismounted from the rims thay are on than mount them to the rims that are on the truck now.

 

I have fresh BFGoodrich A/T's, so i'm pretty much good to go.
