Bed Bolts
Bed Bolts
The front 2 bolts on the bed of the 99 Ford Ranger are longer then the other four bed bolts, and I ordered replacements from TASCO and ended up with the shorter bolts that do not work.
The original front bolts were in bad shape; but the rear four were ok.
It is exceedingly difficult to find the longer front bolts.
I used Grade 8 hex bolts that I found at Lowes that fit perfectly.
I have now found that I can the longer bolts with the torx heads from LMCTruck.
I have a bed liner; and "generally" I do not haul anything too dramatic; should I stick with the hex bolts or go through the joy and expense of swapping them out with the bolts from LMC? Opinions?
Thanks
