Bed Cap Removal System?

I've seen this thing called Roll-A-Way on google, but can't find anywhere to buy it..

The garage isn't exactly the best place to store it on the ground, damn cats own the garage.

And I really don't have the time to build a system that could hold the cap for me...

I'll try contacted the website, and see if there is anyone monitoring the other end.

That looks like a pretty cool idea, but Im sure they are looking for big $ for it too.

I know you said you dont have the time to build you own, but heres my idea

I was simply thinking of using 2- 2x4x7's (6' will probably work too) with an eye bolt at the end of each, and an eye bolt in the rafters of the garage. Pull the truck in, loosen the clamps and lift the cap enough to slip the 2x4s under. Then I would put a ratchet strap in each corner on the eye hooks and lift it up to pull the truck out. I cant park in my garage either, but I can pull in there when I need too. Wifes car doesnt go in the garage in the summer either (until she really starts complaining, or something bad happens in the neighborhood)

You could also make an "extra tall" set of sawhorses if you really cant even think of putting a vehicle in the garage. If you are like me and dont like to look for volunteers, maybe put a ton of padding on the "legs" of the horse and lean it against the truck until you get the stretchers under the cap

Maybe I should take a pic of my garage and show you how little room it actually has..

Of course if I organized it.. which is another weekend in it's self.. I might be able to get the room.

your rafters better be high enough or your cap will smack into your head my garage was only 8 ft ceilings my cap was just low enough to catch ya but i have a ladder rack on mine so it was a little lower than some I made my own rack out of rope and pulleys from the rafters it lasted a week then i decided after banging my head to just get help putting the cap on the side of the garage outside when i didnt want it on the truck

WELL...

One of the plastic hinges broke on it, the ones that hold the glass.

Looks like I'm going to be looking to someone to replace it, or get a whole new cap..

And I DOUBT CarMax warranty thing covers this.. not to mention I ****ING HATE dealing with their service dept.
