The bed is off, now what?

I took the bed off my truck today to clean all the mud and crap off the frame.

So far i've:
Started cleaning and painting the frame
painted the hitch

My plans are to:
New rear brakes
Change the diff fluid
Extend the breather

Im thinking about doing the shocks too. I dunno though it has 49k and it would be easy to do them now, but I dont think its needed.

Anything else I should do, or any other ideas?

Might be a good time to check the blinker fluid in the rear blinkers since the bed is off.

Forgot to add that to the list of stuff already completed. In fact thats the reason I took the bed off in the first place.

stock shocks suck unless you have a lvl2.

if you have the money grab some new shocks.

only real way to check the shocks is to take one of the bolts out and compress it.
if it comes out really slow or doesn't come out at all then it needs to be replaced.

Is your truck still making that noise? My belt has been sqeuaking, I think I need to clean the engine, its kind of dirty. I should probably do the same thing you are doing. I know there is still mud underneath.

Yeah that mud will be on your engine forever, its like herpies, it will never go away. My suggestion, dont try and take it off alone. I spent an hour washing it with the hose and then just decided to take the bed off.
